The America Years
From February 1926 through to 1931, with the exception of 18 months spent in Canada working on his film Carry On Sergeant, Bruce Bairnsfather lived and worked almost permanently in New York. During this period he contributed to some of the most prominent American periodicals of the time, including Life, Judge and the New Yorker, and this phase in his career also saw him working on writing projects and involvement in film production.
